Professor Dariusz Stola - the next Director of the Museum

Minister of Culture and National Heritage Bogdan Zdrojewski announced today professor Dariusz Stola to be the next Director of the Museum of the History of Polish Jews.

Professor Dariusz Stola is a Polish historian, writer and Professor of History at the Institute of Political Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Stola is an expert on human migrations in the 20th century, the Holocaust as well as the Polish-Jewish relations and the history of communist regime in postwar Poland. He is the author and co-author of numerous scientific dissertations and books.

Nomination of the new director is part of the strategy of launching the museum to the public. Currently, until 28th of February 2014, Mr. Andrzej Cudak is an acting director of the Museum of the History of Polish Jews. His mission, including launching program activities in the new building and building museum’s team necessary to offer all program activities and visitors services, has been successfully fulfilled.

Museum opened it’s door to the public in April 2013, having been visited by over 200.000 since then. Our visitor enjoyed hundreds  of cultural, educational and research events and programs, including two temporary exhibitions. We have launched our educational center too and installation of the Core Exhibition is at full swing. We are now heading towards the official opening scheduled for autumn this year.
